|BRUNSWICK BOAT GROUP|
The goal of engineering and manufacturing forward-thinking technologies and products has enabled Brunswick Corporation of Lake Forest, Ill., to evolve from a small producer of billiard tables back in 1845 to the global company it is today — a manufacturer of leading consumer brands distributed globally, with net sales near $4.1 billion in 2015.
One of the company’s key divisions is the Brunswick Boat Group, which builds some of the industry’s most respected legacy brands, among them Boston Whaler, the go-to make for serious fishermen who value a premium build; Sea Ray, one of the most popular lines of family cruisers of all time, and Bayliner, the brand that pioneered the concept of the package boat. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., the Brunswick Boat Group is the largest maker of pleasure boats in the world, with net sales of 1.2 billion in 2015.
The Brunswick Boat Group’s portfolio also includes Meridian cruisers, Crestliner, Cypress Cay, Harris FloteBote, Lowe, Lund and Princecraft fishing, deck and pontoon boats.
Brunswick also is one of the largest boat makers by units in Europe, with such brands as Quicksilver, Uttern and Valiant. In New Zealand, Brunswick owns the Rayglass boat brand. The high quality of boats designed and produced by this company is continually acknowledged with awards for innovation and design from industry organizations including the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
The variety of boat makes and models produced by this company are powered with engines developed by the Mercury Marine Group, which is also under the Brunswick umbrella. Based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Mercury Marine is the leading producer of marine engines in the world, its primary brands being Mercury and Mariner outboard engines and Mercury MerCruiser sterndrive and inboard engines.
The company that values manufacturing ingenuity also supports the MRAA as a Platinum Partner.
"Brunswick highly values its partnership with the MRAA,” says a Brunswick spokesperson. "For 40 years, the MRAA has been a staunch and effective advocate not only for its members, but also for the marine industry as a whole. Like Brunswick, the MRAA is focused on helping its dealer body and others who serve the marine industry to be more successful. It’s a dynamic organization that continually sharpens its focus, simplifies its operations and expands its influence to better champion the cause for a stronger marine industry.”
