Daily Cleaning Checklist

Daily cleaning is extremely important to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from surfaces commonly touched inside and outside of your business.

We have created a sample Daily Cleaning Checklist in Microsoft Excel. Download it and customize it, adding and deleting lines as needed.

Simple Customer Tracker

We should be tracking our customers for both lead management and in case of a COVID-19 infection among our customers or staff.

The best way to track customers is through a customer relationship management (CRM) system or through a business management system with CRM capabilities.

If you don’t have either option, you can use this simple Excel Spreadsheet in concert with a lead collection form.

Boat Demos/Sea Trial Do's and Do Not's

Demo and Sea Trial practices must change in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

Post this sign somewhere that your demo and sea trial staff will sea, so they remember the new rules.

Sample Boat Drop-Off & Sea Trial Policy

As you adjust your Demo and Sea Trial policies, you'll need to train your team. This document provides the new rules your business should be considering, and offers a place for your employees to sign to acknowledge that they will comply.

Remove the MRAA logo in the header and replace with your dealership's logo. Place your dealership name everywhere that you see the highlights.

Customer Information Form

You should log when deliveries come in from which companies. Doing so will give you the ability to react and to stop the spread of the virus if someone outside or internally becomes infected.

Incoming Deliveries Log

You should log when deliveries come in from which companies. Doing so will give you the ability to react and to stop the spread of the virus if someone outside or internally becomes infected.

Boat Sanitation Tags

As boats come in and out of your sales department, demos/sea trials, the service department, the marina and the boatyard, they'll need to be sanitized.

Print these tags, cut them out, punch a hole in the top, and they'll be ready to use. Place the green tags on sanitized boats, and use the red tags for boats that are not yet sanitized.

Do's and Do Not's For Being on the Water

Being safe on the water and on shore is key to keeping our waterways open during this pandemic.

Share this with your staff and your customers via social media, email, direct mail and your website to assure they're practicing safe boating. You may also want to post this as a sign on your door, at your docks and anywhere else customers will see it.

Boat Ramps Do's and Do Not's

Boat ramps are busy right now. We've seen full parking lot photos from Lake Havasu, Arizona, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Tampa, Florida.

Again, you want your boaters to stay safe in these areas, to prevent waterways from being shut down. Share this with your staff and your customers via social media, email, direct mail and your website to assure they're practicing safe boating. You may also want to post this as a sign on your door and at any boat ramps you have access to.

Printable Boat Yard Rules for Customers

You should enforce strict admittance rules at your boatyard to assure everyone is practicing social distancing and remaining safe.

Download this sign, add your contact information and post it on your boatyard door or gate and share it on social media, via email, via direct mail and on your website, so customers understand the new boatyard rules.

Printable "This Area Closed" Sign

You may need to close off more areas of your business to customers to prevent your employees from interacting with too many customers.

Print this sign and post it on any areas that are closed to customers, such as your service department door, employee-only bathrooms and any other spaces you'd like to keep customers out of.
